Disney Singalong VHS
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Disney's "Sing Along Songs" series was one of the most consistent home video releases the studio put out across the late 1980s and into the 1990s. Volume 10, "Be Our Guest," draws its entire program from "Beauty and the Beast," the 1991 theatrical release that arrived as one of the highest-profile animated films in Disney's modern catalog. The format is simple and exactly what it sounds like: full musical sequences from the film, with bouncing-ball lyrics on screen so the living room becomes the theater. This copy carries that complete concept, sealed in the clamshell format Disney used for its gold-spine home video line throughout the era.
"Beauty and the Beast" opened in November 1991 and received the kind of reception that made its home video release a big commercial event. The soundtrack, with Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's work, had already crossed over to radio and awards circuits before the film reached VHS. Disney's "Sing Along Songs" line had been running since 1986, pulling clips from the existing vault, but by the time Volume 10 arrived it was drawing from a film that was still culturally fresh. The "Be Our Guest" title sequence alone was one of the most elaborate production numbers Disney animation had produced in decades, a full Busby Berkeley-style set piece with 3D CGI chandeliers rendered into traditional cel animation. That blend was new enough in 1992–1993 that this tape was selling a genuine novelty, not just a licensed sing-along product for the back seat. Disney Home Video was the dominant home video label for family content in that period, and the gold-spine line had enough recognition that parents bought these as gifts on sight.
Volume ten in the series that turned every household rewinder into a captive Disney audience.
This copy is in the clamshell case with the full-color front panel intact. The spine and back panel should be examined for any sun fade or shelf yellowing, which is the most common wear point on these gold-spine releases after three decades in storage. Rewind and check the tape ribbon directly to confirm it sits flat with no slack or bunching before playback.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm the volume number and release year against the copyright date printed on the cassette label or the back panel of the clamshell.

The Rental Counter
Before streaming flattened the difference between movies, VHS was a physical act. Rentals, buybacks, Blockbuster sleeves, promo tapes, ex-rentals with security stickers still on the side. 90s tapes outlived the stores they came from. We keep them in their original cases where possible and note every sticker, sun-fade, and sleeve crease in the photography.
