Batman & Robin (1997) is one of the most infamous films in superhero movie history, Joel Schumacher's neon-drenched, pun-filled spectacle nearly killed the Batman franchise entirely. Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze and his endless ice puns ("Ice to meet you!"), the Bat-credit card, the rubber nipples on the Batsuit, the film became a cultural punchline. George Clooney has publicly apologized for the film multiple times. But here's the thing. Batman & Robin has become a beloved camp classic, cherished ironically by a generation that grew up with it on VHS. The film's failure directly led to Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins, which reinvented the genre. Every hero's journey needs a low point. Chill out.
