The Waterboy was a monster hit — Adam Sandler as Bobby Boucher, the soft-spoken Louisiana waterboy who discovers he has a devastating football tackle, became one of the most quoted characters of the late '90s. "You can do it!" and "That's some high-quality H₂O" entered the cultural vocabulary permanently. The film grossed over $185 million and cemented Sandler as the biggest comedy star of the decade.
