Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000) expanded on the most beloved element of the first film. Eddie Murphy's tour-de-force performance as multiple members of the Klump family, each brought to life through hours of Rick Baker's legendary prosthetic makeup work. While the original Nutty Professor (1996) was a remake of the Jerry Lewis classic, the sequel leaned fully into the Klump family dynamics and Murphy's incredible range. He played Sherman, Buddy Love, Cletus, Ernie, Ida Mae, and Anna Pearl, sometimes acting opposite himself in the same scene. The makeup artistry is genuinely astonishing, and Murphy's ability to create distinct, fully realized characters beneath pounds of prosthetics proved he was one of the most talented performers of his generation.
