Sony PlayStation Family Feud in Box
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Family Feud on PlayStation 1 is the 2000 GTech / Hasbro Interactive release built around the Louie Anderson hosting era of the show, complete in its original jewel case with the SLUS-01171 disc inside. This is the one that actually looks like the set from the TV version that ran on CBS and syndication through the late nineties and into the early 2000s, survey board on the cover art and all. Boxed, disc-based, original print.
By 2000, the PS1 game show adaptation genre had found its footing. Titles like "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," "Wheel of Fortune," and "Jeopardy!" had proven that living-room party games with real license money behind them could move units without a mascot or a franchise. Family Feud fit the same blueprint: four players maximum, fast rounds, enough randomness in the survey answers to keep it unpredictable for people who knew the show cold. Louie Anderson took over as host of the TV series in 1999, replacing Richard Karn in the rotation the show had cycled through since the Combs years. GTech and Hasbro Interactive brought his likeness and voice into the game for this release, which shipped the same year the PS2 released in Japan, meaning this disc came out right at the tail end of the PS1's commercial prime. Electronics Boutique was still the dominant specialty retailer on the strip-mall circuit, before the GameStop consolidation fully erased the EB brand from storefronts. That context matters for what you find on some copies.
Louie Anderson in a jewel case, survey board intact, ready for your worst guesses.
This copy is complete in box, which on a jewel-case PS1 title means jewel case intact, cover art present, disc seated in tray. Look at the condition of the jewel case hinges first: PS1 cases from this period are notoriously brittle and will crack at the spine before they crack anywhere else. Disc should show minimal surface scratch in this format, since it lived in a case and not a binder. Worth checking the back cover for any EB or Babbage's stickering, as a price sticker from that period is a minor provenance signal on its own. Run your thumbnail along the rear spine seam of the jewel case to confirm both hinge posts are still locked in.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm disc is SLUS-01171 and that the Electronics Boutique price sticker is present on the case or disc tray.

The PlayStation Index
Sony's polygon era rebuilt what a console could look like on a shelf. y2k PlayStation releases shipped with jewel cases, foldout manuals, demo discs, and promotional boxes that were treated as disposable at the time. The ones that held on, through moves and attic boxes and thrift bins, land at the shop with the printing still sharp. We list them with the marks honest.
