Sega CD Official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Eye Of The Beholder Video Game
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Eye of the Beholder on Sega CD is a disc-based port of Westwood Associates' 1991 dungeon-crawler, one of the harder RPGs to find in the wild in complete-in-box condition. The original PC release set the template for first-person, grid-based dungeon exploration with real-time D&D combat rules translated faithfully into interactive format. The Sega CD version came out in 1994, riding the hardware's CD-ROM capacity to carry audio the cartridge format couldn't touch.
By 1994, Sega CD was fighting for relevance against the incoming 32-bit wave. The Saturn announcement was already circulating in Japan, and publishers were still pushing ambitious software at a console that never quite hit the install base it needed. Eye of the Beholder was one of the more serious bets on the platform: a full Western CRPG, not a port of a side-scroller or a FMV curiosity, but a deep-dungeon crawl under the Forgotten Realms license, published with the TSR seal on the box. The AD&D brand was at its commercial peak around this stretch, riding the 2nd Edition era and the Baldur's Gate lineage that Westwood's work helped build. Getting this title on a home console at all was the story. Getting it on Sega CD meant the audio and cutscenes came through in ways the SNES version couldn't manage.
Westwood's dungeon tension on Sega CD, complete case, voice acting intact, graph paper optional.
This copy comes in the tall Sega CD jewel-style case with the skeletal warrior cover art intact. The dramatic deep-black and bone-white illustration on the front is one of the better pieces of box art from this period. No compromises, no cartoon softening for the console market. Check the condition of the hinge on the case spine: Sega CD tall cases crack along that seam with age, and a solid hinge on this one is worth noting before you commit.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm disc, manual, and case insert are all present for a complete-in-box classification.

The Sega Era
Sega's 90s catalogue moved fast and took risks. Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, the arcades that fed them, the merchandise that trailed each launch. The blue-ribbon years produced cartridges, plush, promotional cards, and magazine inserts that rarely made it past the living room floor. What landed here was stored carefully enough to survive two console generations.
