Playstation TNN Motor Sports Hardcore 4x4 Greatest Hits Edition in Box
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
TNN Motor Sports: Hardcore 4x4 is the 1996 Greatest Hits re-release of ASC Games' off-road racing title for PlayStation 1, one of the first PS1 racing games to put serious horsepower behind the off-road truck genre. This copy is complete in box, which means disc, jewel case, and insert are all present. The green spine and green Greatest Hits banner label identify the edition. Sony's PS1 Greatest Hits designation went to titles that cleared 500,000 copies sold, so that green strip is a sales-volume mark, not a cosmetic choice.
TNN Motor Sports: Hardcore 4x4 arrived in 1995 as an original release when PlayStation was still carving out its identity against Saturn and a fading SNES. ASC Games was the publisher behind the wheel, working with TNN, The Nashville Network, at a moment when that cable brand was pushing hard into motorsports content. TNN had the trucks, the mud, the stadium events, and the licensing credibility to make a tie-in game feel grounded rather than generic. Hardcore 4x4 responded by building out actual truck classes, course deformation that left ruts in the mud, and damage modeling that was ambitious for the PS1 shelf in 1995. The Greatest Hits re-press in 1996 put this into bargain aisles just as the PS1 install base was exploding and every family with a new console was scanning the Greatest Hits rack for proven titles. That context is why this copy exists: it sold because TNN delivered a racing game that held up past a rental.
When Sony slapped that green spine on a title, it meant 150,000 units moved and shelf permanence secured.
This copy comes in its original jewel case, and the Greatest Hits edition packaging is intact. The green banner is clean, the insert is present, and the disc should be evaluated at the play surface for the usual PS1 jewel-case wear. Condition on Greatest Hits copies varies considerably because these were the workhorse rentals and trade-in fodder of the late 90s. Look at the inner hub ring on the disc: stress cracking around the center hub is the most common point of failure on any jewel-case PS1 disc that lived through a rental cycle.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm disc, manual, and insert are all present, and check the hub ring for stress cracks before listing as CIB.

The PlayStation Index
Sony's polygon era rebuilt what a console could look like on a shelf. 90s PlayStation releases shipped with jewel cases, foldout manuals, demo discs, and promotional boxes that were treated as disposable at the time. The ones that held on, through moves and attic boxes and thrift bins, land at the shop with the printing still sharp. We list them with the marks honest.
