Monopoly 2 Super Famicom Nintendo 2455 SF CIB
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Monopoly 2 for the Super Famicom, published by Tomy in 1995, is the Japan-exclusive sequel to their original SFC Monopoly adaptation. Complete in box, with the original Japanese packaging intact. The cover art puts Mr. Monopoly front and center against a field of gold-toned currency, and the cartridge itself is the standard gray SFC shell. This is the full package: box, cart, and documentation together.
Tomy's board game conversions for the Super Famicom were a niche within a niche. The original Monopoly for SFC arrived in 1991, and by the time Monopoly 2 shipped in 1995 the platform was already crowded with genre-defining titles pushing the hardware. Tomy still found an audience: family and party-style games held their own on the SFC in Japan through the mid-1990s, carving out shelf space alongside the fighting games and JRPGs. The Monopoly license had been adapted for nearly every major platform by this point, but the Japanese regional versions carried their own distinct visual language, localizing the property names and presentation in ways the North American cartridges did not. That regional specificity is exactly what keeps CIB Japanese SFC titles circulating among collectors who care about completeness rather than just playability. Thirty-one years out from the original release, clean-boxed copies are not common in North American shops.
Japan-only follow-up with tighter pacing, tournament brackets, and gold foil cover art that survived three decades intact.
This copy is complete in box, which on a 1995 SFC title means the box has survived three decades without being discarded. Check the box corners for crush or tape repairs, as that is the most common damage point on SFC packaging of this age. The cartridge label should be clean with no bubbling or peeling at the edges. If documentation is present, the condition of the fold lines on the manual will tell you how heavily the set was used. Run your thumb along the cartridge edge connector pins before any play session.
OWNER VERIFY: Tomy 1995 publication year and Japan-exclusive release status, confirmable against the cartridge label and back-of-box copyright line.

The Nintendo Archive
This is part of Nintendo's 90s run, the era that built the shop's back wall. Nintendo shipped cartridges, plush, promotional oddities, and packaging that most buyers threw out on the way to the game. What survived, mostly by accident, ends up here. Every piece is cleaned, photographed, and listed one at a time. Nothing on the archive shelf is a duplicate.
