Kawa No Nushi Tsuri 2 Super Famicom Nintendo 069 Sf CIB
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 2 is a Super Famicom fishing RPG published by Nintendo, released in Japan in 1995, and this copy is complete-in-box. The series translates roughly as "Master Fisherman" and occupies a small, strange, genuinely beloved corner of the SFC library where the genre is not action, not platforming, not combat. It is fishing. Patient, seasonal, river-by-river fishing with RPG structure underneath.
The early-to-mid 1990s Super Famicom catalog in Japan carried a range of games that never crossed the Pacific, and the Kawa no Nushi Tsuri series is one of the cleaner examples of that gap. Pack-In-Video originally developed the series before Nintendo picked up publishing duties, and the games found an audience among Japanese players who wanted something slower than the dominant action titles. By 1995 the SFC was in its mature phase: Chrono Trigger had just released, Super Metroid was a year old, and the console's library was dense enough that a fishing RPG could find its shelf space without apology. The box art for this entry depicts a family scene along a riverbank, hand-drawn and warm, with a grumpy older man, a young girl in a floral kimono, a grandmother, and a bear watching from the tree line. That bear is not explained. It does not need to be. Japanese box art from this period operated on its own logic and that is exactly what makes CIB copies worth holding.
A folktale fishing sim that stayed Japan-exclusive, pastoral and patient, timed for gentle play.
This copy is complete-in-box, which for a 30-plus-year-old Japanese market title matters considerably. SFC carts separated from their boxes at a high rate as they moved through rental shops and second-hand chains across Japan in the 1990s. A CIB copy with the original insert or manual intact is meaningfully rarer than the cart alone, and the box art survival on a game this niche is part of the ask. Condition on the box corners and the cart label will tell you most of what you need to know before committing. Run your finger along the cart edge seam and check that the label sits flush with no peeling at the corners.
OWNER VERIFY: Release year confirmed as 1995 for the Super Famicom original Japanese release; verify against cart label and any included documentation.

The Nintendo Archive
This is part of Nintendo's 90s run, the era that built the shop's back wall. Nintendo shipped cartridges, plush, promotional oddities, and packaging that most buyers threw out on the way to the game. What survived, mostly by accident, ends up here. Every piece is cleaned, photographed, and listed one at a time. Nothing on the archive shelf is a duplicate.
