Japanese Only Japan Region Used Super Famicom Software Sansaranaga 2 CIB
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Sansara Naga 2 is a 1994 Super Famicom RPG from Victor Interactive Software, Japan-only, never localized for Western markets. The concept is unusual enough that it still turns heads on import shelves: you hatch and raise a dragon companion, and the story draws on Hindu and Buddhist mythology instead of the European fantasy template that dominated the genre. Complete in box, used, Japanese region.
The Super Famicom library in 1994 was deep and running fast. Square had Final Fantasy VI on shelves that same year. Enix had Dragon Quest VI in development. Konami and Capcom were fighting for retail space on a platform that Japanese consumers were treating as the definitive home of the RPG, with Namco pressing in from the sides. Victor Interactive Software was not a top-tier publisher in that race, but Sansara Naga 2 carved out a distinct lane by rejecting the Western sword-and-sorcery framework entirely. The original Sansara Naga released on Famicom in 1990, also Japan-only, which makes the sequel a continuation of a lineage that never touched North American shelves at any point. That full regional exclusivity is part of why import collectors track it. The dragon-raising mechanic predates the Breath of Fire series' heavier use of dragon transformation by a year, and the mythological sourcing gives it a tone that reads distinctly different from its contemporaries even without reading Japanese.

This copy is CIB, meaning the cartridge, box, and likely manual are all present. The chibi hero artwork on the box cover is one of the more immediately readable visual cues for the title on the secondary market. Condition on used Super Famicom boxes runs a wide range, and this one should be inspected at the standard points: label wear on the cartridge, box corner crush, manual spine. Check the cartridge label edge, where peeling or water damage tends to show first on pieces that spent time in Japanese secondhand shops before making the trip west.
OWNER VERIFY: Release year confirmed as 1994; verify against cartridge label or box copyright line.

The Nintendo Archive
This is part of Nintendo's 90s run, the era that built the shop's back wall. Nintendo shipped cartridges, plush, promotional oddities, and packaging that most buyers threw out on the way to the game. What survived, mostly by accident, ends up here. Every piece is cleaned, photographed, and listed one at a time. Nothing on the archive shelf is a duplicate.
