Free Willy 2 VHS
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
"Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home" arrived on Warner Bros VHS in 1995, the same summer the sequel hit theaters. Clamshell format, standard retail issue, pre-owned single copy. This is the follow-up that brought Jesse back to the Pacific Northwest coast and widened the story past the one-whale premise that made the original hit so hard with family audiences.
Warner Bros had real momentum with family titles through the mid-90s. The first "Free Willy" pulled in over $77 million domestic in 1993 on a modest budget, which is exactly the kind of math that greenlights a sequel fast. The 1995 follow-up directed by Dwight Little kept Jason James Richter in the lead, added Francis Capra as Jesse's half-brother Elvis, and built the conflict around an oil spill threatening Willy's pod rather than a single tank. Michael Madsen returned as Glen, Annie Corley as Nadine. The orca sequences moved further offshore, which gave the cinematography room the first film didn't have inside a theme park setting. Warner released it to home video by the end of 1995, which means this tape has been circulating for over thirty years. The VHS format was still the dominant home-video medium at that point. DVD wouldn't meaningfully displace it in family households until the late 1990s, so this tape was genuinely how most kids saw the sequel the first time around.

This copy is pre-owned, original clamshell. The shell is intact. Tape has been played but no reason to expect degradation on a well-stored VHS from this period. The cover art shows Jesse and Willy mid-leap, Warner Bros logo and the "The Adventure Home" subtitle visible across the front panel. If you're displaying it, the spine reads clean at a glance on a shelf. Check the tape window before you play it: the ribbon should sit flat with no visible slack or bunching on either reel.
OWNER VERIFY: Release year confirmed as 1995 for both theatrical and home video; verify the shell seam integrity and ribbon condition on this copy.

The Rental Counter
Before streaming flattened the difference between movies, VHS was a physical act. Rentals, buybacks, Blockbuster sleeves, promo tapes, ex-rentals with security stickers still on the side. 90s tapes outlived the stores they came from. We keep them in their original cases where possible and note every sticker, sun-fade, and sleeve crease in the photography.
