Broken Arrow VHS
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
"Broken Arrow" is a 1996 20th Century Fox action release directed by John Woo, starring John Travolta and Christian Slater. Travolta plays Vic Deakins, a rogue Air Force pilot who steals two nuclear warheads mid-flight. Slater plays his co-pilot, Riley Hale, who has to stop him. It is one of the cleaner high-concept action pitches of the decade: the villain is your partner, the stakes are nuclear, and the backdrop is the Utah desert.
Woo arrived in Hollywood in 1993 with "Hard Target" and refined his American production style through "Broken Arrow" and then "Face/Off" in 1997. By 1996 he had figured out how to keep the Hong Kong balletic gunfight vocabulary intact inside a studio action budget. Travolta at this moment was post-"Pulp Fiction" (1994) and at the peak of his mid-90s comeback. He plays Deakins with visible pleasure, the kind of villain who smiles at his own catastrophic decisions. The film earned Woo a strong domestic box office and confirmed that he could work at scale without losing the double-gun close-quarters choreography that defined his Hong Kong output. For VHS collectors tracking the Woo American run, "Broken Arrow" sits between "Hard Target" and "Face/Off" and is the one most likely to be underpriced relative to the other two.
John Woo's second American feature, sealed in shrink wrap, ready to rewind or frame.
This copy is sealed in original shrink wrap, which means the cassette has not been played and the sleeve art is untouched. The Fox home video clamshell case format from this period is sturdy, and the shrink on sealed copies from 1996 tends to sit tight with minimal slack if stored upright. The spine text should read clearly with no fade. Before you commit, check the shrink seam along the bottom edge of the clamshell for any lifting or resealing evidence, which is the fastest way to confirm the seal is factory original and not a rewrap.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm sealed shrink is factory original by inspecting the bottom clamshell seam for any resealing gaps or adhesive residue.

The Rental Counter
Before streaming flattened the difference between movies, VHS was a physical act. Rentals, buybacks, Blockbuster sleeves, promo tapes, ex-rentals with security stickers still on the side. 90s tapes outlived the stores they came from. We keep them in their original cases where possible and note every sticker, sun-fade, and sleeve crease in the photography.
