Beethoven was one of the biggest family comedies of the early '90s — a giant St. Bernard puppy adopted by a suburban family grows into a 185-pound slobbering chaos machine, and Charles Grodin's increasingly exasperated reactions carry the film. The movie spawned multiple sequels and made every kid in America want a St. Bernard. The VHS cover with Beethoven stealing the turkey while the family looks on is the perfect setup. A '90s family classic that holds up for the Grodin performance alone.
