1992 Home Alone 2 Lost In New York Board Game Complete
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
THQ's "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" board game came out in 1992, timed to the theatrical release that November. This is the complete version, original box intact, built around the film's New York chase premise and designed squarely at the holiday gift market that the franchise owned in the early '90s. The red box with black-and-white checkered border is the first-release production run. Macaulay Culkin is front and center, NYC skyline behind him, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern fanning out on the side panels.
The timing of this release mattered. "Home Alone 2" arrived in theaters November 20, 1992, competing against "Aladdin" in a Thanksgiving weekend that both films turned into a box office event. The original "Home Alone" (1990) had become one of the highest-grossing comedies in history, which meant the sequel came with full licensing infrastructure from day one. THQ held a stretch of licensed property tie-ins in the early '90s across games and toys, and the board game category was part of that broader push. Complete sets at this age are harder to find than you'd think. The box absorbs years of closet pressure badly, corners go soft, and pieces migrate. A complete copy with undamaged box art from 1992 is now 33 years old, and most sets that survived did so because they were played once at Christmas and shelved.
Peak Culkin, peak family-film merchandising, peak early-nineties IP churn in a red box.
This copy is complete. All pieces present, no missing cards, box holds its shape without deep crushing on the corners. The print on the front panel shows no significant fading. Cast photo cards of Pesci and Stern are clean on both sides, no water marks, no warping. Original board is flat. For display, the front panel holds up at shelf distance with good color retention. Check the inner tray seams where the box bottom meets the side walls: that junction is where most copies start to fail after three decades of stack pressure, and the condition of that seam tells you how this one was stored.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm all game components against the original checklist printed on the inner box panel to validate the "complete" designation.
