Vintage Tommy Hilfigure Long Sleeve Flannel Button Up Shirt Size XL
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Tommy Hilfiger's flannel button-ups from the mid-to-late 90s are some of the most recognizable pieces the brand ever produced, and this XL long-sleeve is the exact configuration collectors are pulling off racks right now. Navy and light blue tartan plaid with red and white accent lines, brushed cotton shell, embroidered flag logo riding the chest pocket. The colorway is restrained by Tommy standards, which is exactly what made it work.
By 1994 and 1995, Tommy Hilfiger had completed one of the more unusual pivots in American fashion history. A preppy Connecticut-coded label had become the uniform of choice on 125th Street, on BET, in the Source, in videos. Grand Puba wore it. Snoop wore it on SNL in 1996. The brand did not engineer that adoption, it just watched it happen and kept producing the oversized silhouettes and block-color plaid flannel that the culture wanted. The flannel carried both sides of that story: the New England plaid heritage Tommy had always claimed, worn loose and open over a white tee in a way no Brooks Brothers customer ever intended. By the time this colorway was sitting on shelves, the Tommy red, white, and blue flag logo had become shorthand for a very particular late-90s moment in American streetwear, one that did not repeat itself after the brand pivoted upmarket post-2000.
The flannel Tommy made when hip-hop was still calling the brand, not the other way around.
This copy presents in solid vintage shape. The flannel weight is full and the brushed surface reads clean without significant pilling. Button placket is intact, cuffs show minimal fraying. XL in 90s Tommy runs roomy through the chest and shoulders, intentionally so, and that oversized hang is load-bearing to the whole aesthetic. The embroidered flag logo on the chest pocket is the detail to inspect on your end: thread color, backing stitch, and placement relative to the pocket seam are the fastest read on production authenticity for this period.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm production year falls mid-90s to early 2000s by checking the interior label generation and country-of-origin tag.

The 90s Rack
The 90s rack is where most of the shop's apparel lives. Team tees, tour shirts, promotional jackets, wrestling pullovers, movie tie-in prints that nobody saved on purpose. 90s production runs were large and the survivors are the ones that dodged the rag bin. Each garment is measured flat, photographed on a neutral ground, and listed against the tag size.
