Sony PS2 Silent Line Armored Core CIB
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Silent Line: Armored Core for PlayStation 2, complete in box. Published by Agetec, built by FromSoftware, released in North America in 2003. This is the third Armored Core entry on PS2 and the sixth in the franchise overall, arriving at the height of FromSoftware's run as one of the most mechanically rigorous developers in Japan.
In 2003, FromSoftware was still a niche name in North America. Armored Core had a dedicated following but never crossed into mainstream rental-store conversation the way Devil May Cry or God of War would. The PS2 library was loaded that year: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, Jak II, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic landing on Xbox and pulling RPG players sideways. Silent Line released into that noise and found its people anyway. The mech customization in this entry pushed the system further than any prior PS2 Armored Core: new silent generator technology in the fiction, expanded parts count, and an AI Arena mode that let you farm ranked opponents across hundreds of builds. That AI Arena alone extended the back half of the game considerably for players who wanted to squeeze every legal configuration out of the chassis catalog. FromSoftware would not reach a wider audience until Demon's Souls in 2009, but the design DNA running through Silent Line is readable if you know where to look.
FromSoftware in 2003: three years before Demon's Souls, a decade before widespread recognition, pure mech simulation for the patient.
This copy is complete in box, meaning disc, original case, and manual are all present. The PS2 manual for Silent Line is a dense reference document covering every part category and weight class, and it holds up as a standalone read. Condition on the disc matters here more than the case art, so inspect the play surface under good light before you commit. The case spine is worth checking too, because PS2 black cases from this period crack at the hinge pins when stored vertically for years. Run a finger along the hinge seam and confirm the two halves are still seated flush.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm disc, manual, and original black PS2 case are all present before listing as CIB.

The PlayStation Index
Sony's polygon era rebuilt what a console could look like on a shelf. y2k PlayStation releases shipped with jewel cases, foldout manuals, demo discs, and promotional boxes that were treated as disposable at the time. The ones that held on, through moves and attic boxes and thrift bins, land at the shop with the printing still sharp. We list them with the marks honest.
