Sony PlayStation 2 Finding Nemo
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
THQ's PS2 tie-in for "Finding Nemo" released in 2003 alongside the Pixar film's theatrical run, and this copy is the Greatest Hits edition, red case and all. Greatest Hits designation on a PS2 title means the game cleared Sony's sales threshold and earned the reprint. For a licensed movie game, that is not a given. A lot of film tie-ins from this period shipped once and disappeared. This one found enough living rooms to come back in red.
2003 was a heavy year for Pixar in the broader culture. "Finding Nemo" opened in May of that year and crossed $339 million domestic, making it the highest-grossing animated film of 2003 at the U.S. box office. THQ held a substantial portfolio of Disney and Pixar game licenses through the mid-2000s and released the PS2 version alongside ports for GameCube and Xbox. The Game Boy Advance version shipped too. The PS2 build let players control Nemo, Dory, and other characters from the film across ocean environments pulled from the movie's locations. The Great Barrier Reef and the East Australian Current are both in there. The Sydney harbor drain sequence is in there too. The ESRB rated it Everyone, which at the time put it squarely in the family-console rotation that defined a lot of early PS2 household libraries. Kids who played this in 2003 are in their late twenties and early thirties now. The nostalgia wave on these Pixar-licensed games has been real and steady.
Red Greatest Hits spine means 400,000 units moved before the holidays hit.
This copy is pre-owned and reads as a clean play-ready disc. The Greatest Hits red case is intact. Look at the disc face before you commit: a clean silver with no deep radial scratches means this one will load without issue on a standard PS2 lens. The case spine should show the Greatest Hits red band with the Sony logo running vertically. Check the back panel insert for the THQ copyright line, which confirms the licensed production details and the 2003 print date. Run your thumb across the disc edge near the hub: no chips, no cracks, hub sits flush.

The PlayStation Index
Sony's polygon era rebuilt what a console could look like on a shelf. y2k PlayStation releases shipped with jewel cases, foldout manuals, demo discs, and promotional boxes that were treated as disposable at the time. The ones that held on, through moves and attic boxes and thrift bins, land at the shop with the printing still sharp. We list them with the marks honest.
