SNES NFL Quarterback Club ‘96
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
NFL Quarterback Club '96 on the Super Nintendo is a 1995 release from Acclaim Entertainment, developed by Iguana Entertainment, arriving at the end of the SNES's competitive run against the 32-bit machines already eating its lunch. It is a cartridge-format football title built almost entirely around the quarterback position, which set it apart from every other football game on the shelf at the time.
By 1995, the SNES football catalog was dense. EA's Madden line owned the simulation throne. NFL Football from Konami had come and gone. Bill Walsh College Football was the sleeper pick. Quarterback Club carved its lane by doing something none of those titles did: centering the QB as the character you inhabited, not just the unit you commanded. Brett Favre was the cover athlete, two years removed from his first MVP campaign in Green Bay. The QB Challenge mode was the headline feature, based directly on the Sunshine Network skills competition that aired during the NFL Pro Bowl week. Accuracy drills, scramble challenges, pocket presence tests. It was a strange and specific product, and that strangeness is exactly why it held on in collections when the bigger-brand titles got traded away or shelved. Acclaim also pushed a companion 16-player stat disc on the Game Boy version that year, which shows how committed the publisher was to the QB-sim concept across hardware.

This copy is a loose cartridge, which is how most SNES football games survived the mid-90s rental economy. The gray housing should show the standard Acclaim label stock with the Quarterback Club '96 branding centered and the NFL and NFLPA licensing marks visible in the lower corner area. Check the label edges for peeling or moisture bubbling, which tends to start at the top-left corner on Acclaim carts stored in humid conditions. The connector pins on the bottom edge are the functional tell: any corrosion or residue there will affect play, and they are worth a close look before the cartridge goes into a console.
OWNER VERIFY: Brett Favre cover athlete and 1995 production year on the cartridge label.

The Nintendo Archive
This is part of Nintendo's 90s run, the era that built the shop's back wall. Nintendo shipped cartridges, plush, promotional oddities, and packaging that most buyers threw out on the way to the game. What survived, mostly by accident, ends up here. Every piece is cleaned, photographed, and listed one at a time. Nothing on the archive shelf is a duplicate.
