Midnight Club LA Remix PSP Greatest Hits
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Midnight Club LA Remix on PSP is Rockstar's 2008 portable adaptation of the full console release, built from the ground up to fit the UMD format without gutting what made the original work. This is the Greatest Hits edition, identified by the red banner across the top of the case, which Rockstar and Sony awarded to titles that crossed the 400,000-unit sales threshold in North America. One-of-one condition aside, the Greatest Hits label is a production marker: these pressed later in the run, meaning better availability at the time but cleaner complete copies are harder to find now.
By 2008, the PSP was four years into its North American run and the library had matured past the launch-era ports into titles that understood the hardware. Midnight Club LA Remix sat near the top of that tier. Rockstar adapted the Los Angeles open world, kept the licensed roster including Cadillac, Dodge, and Volkswagen, and rebuilt the map in a compressed format that still let you run Wilshire Boulevard and the Hollywood Hills without loading breaks. The soundtrack held up the franchise standard: licensed tracks sequenced against race tension, not just stacked behind menus. For portable racing in 2008, nothing else on the PSP moved through a real city with that much density. The franchise had been running since 2000 and this entry treated the portable format seriously, not as a downgrade.
Rockstar's only original PSP title, built to let you drift through Hollywood at three AM.
This copy comes in the original PSP UMD case with the Greatest Hits red-banner sleeve. The UMD disc itself should seat clean, no rattling inside the caddy. Case condition on Greatest Hits PSP titles varies more than you'd expect because the plastic hinge on the original shell is thin and the print run ran long enough that copies saw real shelf time. Check the hinge spine on the right side of the case when it's closed. A cracked hinge doesn't affect play but it does affect display, and on a Greatest Hits copy you want that red banner sitting flush.
OWNER VERIFY: confirm UMD disc seats without rattle and Greatest Hits red-banner sleeve is present and unpeeled.

The PlayStation Index
Sony's polygon era rebuilt what a console could look like on a shelf. 00s PlayStation releases shipped with jewel cases, foldout manuals, demo discs, and promotional boxes that were treated as disposable at the time. The ones that held on, through moves and attic boxes and thrift bins, land at the shop with the printing still sharp. We list them with the marks honest.
