Death Warrant VHS
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
"Death Warrant" is a 1990 MGM release on VHS, sealed in the original shrink wrap with a vintage Wal-Mart $6.96 price sticker intact on the case. Van Damme plays a Royal Canadian Mounted Police detective who goes undercover inside a maximum-security prison to solve a string of inmate murders. The tape has never been opened.
By 1990, Van Damme had already put "Bloodsport" and "Kickboxer" on the map and was working his way into the A-action tier. "Death Warrant" arrived that same year as "Lionheart," giving collectors two JCVD releases in a single calendar year at a moment when his box-office pull was genuinely on the rise. The film belongs to the MGM catalog alongside that wave of late-'80s and early-'90s hard-R prison action pictures. Director Deran Sarafian kept the pacing tight, and the villain, a figure known on-screen as The Sandman, became one of the more memorable heavy presences in Van Damme's early run. Wal-Mart was the dominant home-video retailer for tape releases in this range, and finding a price-stickered copy still sealed is increasingly uncommon on the secondary market. This copy has all of that intact.

The shrink wrap shows no punctures or splits visible to the eye, and the Wal-Mart sticker sits on the front face without significant lift or curling at the edges. The MGM clamshell case underneath carries the standard artwork for the domestic release. This is a display-grade copy as well as a play-grade one, though anyone who opens the shrink to run the tape is spending the sticker. Condition like this does not last once the seal goes. Check the shrink seam along the spine before anything else. That is where stress cracks typically begin on clamshells that have been stored or shipped improperly.

The Rental Counter
Before streaming flattened the difference between movies, VHS was a physical act. Rentals, buybacks, Blockbuster sleeves, promo tapes, ex-rentals with security stickers still on the side. 90s tapes outlived the stores they came from. We keep them in their original cases where possible and note every sticker, sun-fade, and sleeve crease in the photography.
