90s Chicago White Sox Snap Back Hat
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
All-black crown, white Old English "Sox" gothic lettering, snap closure at the back. This is a 90s-era Chicago White Sox snapback from the MLB licensed market, the exact silhouette that crossed over from the bleachers into the street before most people could name why it happened.
The White Sox made the black-and-white colorway official as their primary road look starting in 1991, and what followed was one of the more organic uniform-to-streetwear crossovers in American sports history. NWA had already put the all-black Sox cap into heavy rotation before the decade turned. Eazy-E wore it on record covers, in videos, on stage. The hat read as West Coast identity even though the team was in Chicago, which tells you everything about how the cap functioned culturally in that stretch of years. Meanwhile the White Sox themselves were building one of the AL's more dangerous rosters: Frank Thomas was putting up MVP numbers in 1993 and 1994, Bo Jackson had made his comeback on the South Side in 1991, and the new Comiskey Park opened that same year. The hat carried all of that without announcing any of it.
The West Coast claimed this hat in 1992 and never gave it back.
This copy shows the hallmarks of the era: the unstructured crown, the flat brim with minimal distressing, the clean front panel. Black eyelets sit flush and uncracked. The snap closure at the back is intact and clicks through all positions. No visible staining on the crown or sweatband. The Old English "Sox" script holds its shape, no cracking in the fill. If you are fitting this in a display case, the brim profile stays true without any pinching. Before you commit, run a thumb across the underside of the brim stitching, where the edge binding meets the brim material, to confirm no separation is starting.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm the licensed manufacturer label inside the crown to date the production year within the 1991–1999 window.

The 90s Rack
The 90s rack is where most of the shop's apparel lives. Team tees, tour shirts, promotional jackets, wrestling pullovers, movie tie-in prints that nobody saved on purpose. 90s production runs were large and the survivors are the ones that dodged the rag bin. Each garment is measured flat, photographed on a neutral ground, and listed against the tag size.
