2007 Star Trek 40 Years Phaser Gun

The 2007 Star Trek 40th Anniversary Phaser is a Paramount-licensed prop replica released to mark four decades of the franchise, built around the Type-2 phaser silhouette from the original series. Working lights, working sound, and a detachable Type-1 mini phaser nested inside the grip. The colorway is TOS-faithful: dark blue and gray, close to what you see in the 1966 production stills, not the brighter plastic interpretations that came later.

Nineteen sixty-six is the baseline here. "The Man Trap" aired September 8, 1966 on NBC, and the franchise that launched that night ran through three seasons, cancellation, fan campaigns, a syndication revival, and then the full theatrical run starting with Robert Wise's 1979 film before it became the institution Paramount was celebrating in 2007. By the time this phaser hit retail, the franchise had logged ten feature films, four live-action successor series, and one animated run.
