Playmates' 1995 "Starfleet Edition" William Riker figure is a sealed, numbered production piece from one of the most ambitious Star Trek toy runs of the decade. Edition number 003271 is printed on the box, placing this copy in a controlled run that Playmates used across its collector-tier Star Trek releases throughout the mid-90s. The packaging is the original blue and silver display box, and the figure has never left it.
By 1995, Playmates had been the Star Trek license holder for four years and the line was deep. "The Next Generation" had wrapped its seven-season run in 1994, and Paramount had just released "Star Trek: Generations" in November of that year, bridging the TNG cast to the film side. The toy line tracked all of it. Playmates was producing figures across TNG, DS9, and Voyager simultaneously, with collector editions like this one sitting above the standard retail wave in both price point and packaging ambition. The numbered edition series gave completists a reason to leave the box sealed, and most did. Riker here is in his TNG command red, communicator badge on the chest, posed for the bridge. The accessory count is real: phaser rifle, type II phaser, UV light source, and a Starfleet base are all included, making this one of the more loaded releases in the line.

This copy shows a Walmart price sticker on the exterior of the box, which tells you exactly where it sat before someone pulled it from the shelf and held onto it for thirty years. The shrink seal appears intact. The front panel is clear with no significant yellowing on the plastic, and the figure reads clean behind it. All accessories appear present and loose inside the tray. For display, the box is the display, and it holds well. Before you close on condition, run your eye along the bottom edge of the front panel and check that the seal seam is continuous with no lifting corners.
