Elden Ring on PS4 is FromSoftware's open-world action RPG developed in collaboration with George R.R. Martin, released February 2022 by Bandai Namco. Built on the bones of the Dark Souls lineage but cracked wide open across a sprawling overworld called the Lands Between, it arrived as the studio's most ambitious title to date and promptly swept game-of-the-year conversations across every major outlet.

FromSoftware had spent a decade earning the reputation the hard way. Demon's Souls in 2009 built the cult. Dark Souls in 2011 made it a genre. Bloodborne in 2015 proved the studio wasn't just one trick. Sekiro in 2019 won Game of the Year at The Game Awards and settled any remaining debate about their place at the top of the action-RPG form. By the time Elden Ring was announced at E3 2019 with Martin attached to the lore, the internet reaction was immediate and loud. Three years of anticipation, two delays, one pandemic. When it finally released in February 2022, it sold over 13 million copies in its first month and broke FromSoftware's own sales records by a distance. The Tarnished and the Erdtree became shorthand for a certain kind of 2022 experience: difficult, absorbing, impossible to put down. Las Vegas saw its own run on the title that spring.

This copy is PS4 disc format, which plays on both PS4 and PS5 via backward compatibility. The disc itself is clean with no visible ring scratching under direct light. No manual included, which is standard for most post-2015 console releases. Case is present. The copy we have on hand is a standard edition, not the launch edition or any deluxe configuration.
