Sony PS3 Killzone 2
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Killzone 2 on PS3 is a Guerrilla Games first-person shooter released in February 2009, published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It arrived at a moment when the PS3 was fighting hard to justify its price point against a 360 library that had a two-year head start, and Guerrilla delivered the kind of technical proof the platform needed. The game had been the subject of one of the most debated E3 target renders in gaming history, so the final product carried an unusual weight: it had to prove itself twice.
2009 was peak console shooter territory. Halo 3 had already reshaped multiplayer expectations in 2007, and Modern Warfare had redefined the genre in November 2008 just three months before Killzone 2 shipped. Guerrilla stepped into that conversation with a game that leaned into the PS3's Cell processor and produced visuals that genuinely held up against both competitors. The Helghast design, the weighted movement, the class-based multiplayer structure with ribbons and faction ranks, all of it pulled squads back for months after launch. The single-player campaign put you into the assault on Helghan from the ISA side, and the alien industrial palette, the ash-storm environments, the Radec boss sequence in the palace, these were the things people talked about in the forums and in the GameFAQs threads through spring 2009. The online population stayed meaningful well into 2010. For PS3-era shooters, this is near the top of the lineage.

This copy is the standard North American disc release. Check the disc face for play marks before you commit, the center hub ring area is where PS3 discs tend to show wear from repeated tray-loading. If the case is included, run a finger along the spine to confirm the cover art insert hasn't slid or torn at the fold. At KIC in Container Park, the disc is on the floor and ready to inspect before you buy.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm disc surface condition and whether original case and back-insert are present with this copy.

The PlayStation Index
Sony's polygon era rebuilt what a console could look like on a shelf. 00s PlayStation releases shipped with jewel cases, foldout manuals, demo discs, and promotional boxes that were treated as disposable at the time. The ones that held on, through moves and attic boxes and thrift bins, land at the shop with the printing still sharp. We list them with the marks honest.
