Sizing + Measurements

Vintage sizes run smaller, boxier, and shorter than modern cuts. A 90s Large is often a modern Medium through the chest with a cropped-feeling length. Because every piece in the shop is one-of-one, we post pit-to-pit and front-length measurements on listings when we have them.

Tees and pullovers

Ninety-nineties US Large is closer to a modern US Medium in the chest. Body runs wider and shorter. Single-stitch hems, a strong tell for pre-1998 shirts, tend to run a touch smaller than printed size.

  • Modern US Medium chest sits around 20 inches pit-to-pit.
  • 90s US Large on vintage blanks often lands 21 to 22 inches pit-to-pit with a shorter body length.
  • Hanes Beefy-T runs true to tag.
  • Anvil runs boxy, wider through the torso than Hanes.
  • Gildan runs a touch slimmer and longer than either.

Measure a shirt you already own and wear often. Lay it flat, measure one inch below the armpit seam across to the other side, then measure from the collar seam down to the hem. Compare to the numbers on the listing.

Jerseys

Modern swingman sizing is not 90s replica sizing. Shoulder seams, body width, and length all shifted over the last two decades.

  • Champion-era NBA replicas (1990 to 2002) run big. An XL often wears like a modern 2XL through the body.
  • NFL Starter proline runs true to shoulder width, generous in the body for pads.
  • MLB BP and practice jerseys were cut oversize on purpose. A tagged Large can wear closer to a modern XL.
  • Stitched lettering and numbers add real weight and change how the jersey drapes, especially on mesh.

For jerseys we post shoulder-to-shoulder, pit-to-pit, and back length. If any of those are missing, ask.

Starter and outerwear

Diamond-tag Starter jackets from the late 80s and early 90s run boxy. Pullover fits and full-zip fits of the same tagged size are not the same garment.

  • Pullover Starters sit wider through the chest and shorter in the body than full-zips.
  • Satin lining can shrink with age, which tightens the inside circumference even when the shell measures unchanged.
  • Color-block panels were sewn on different batches of fabric. Slight inconsistencies in cut are original, not defects.

We measure outerwear flat: pit-to-pit, back length from base of collar, and sleeve from shoulder seam to cuff.

Hats and caps

Vintage fitted and snapback sizing predates the 59FIFTY standard most buyers know today.

  • Ninety-nineties fitted caps, before New Era consolidated the 59FIFTY standard, vary by manufacturer. Sports Specialties, Starter, Logo 7, and early New Era all cut slightly differently at the same tagged size.
  • Snapback crown heights differ 80s vs 90s. Earlier caps tend to sit taller. Later 90s caps run a little lower and flatter.
  • Brim curl varies too. Many vintage snapbacks shipped with a pre-curved brim, not the flat-brim default of modern retro releases.

In-store try-on

Try-on is available 7 days a week during shop hours at 707 E Fremont Street, Suite 1170, Las Vegas, Nevada 89101. Fitting room on site, mirrors in the main room, and whichever teammate is on the floor that day can pull measurements for anything behind glass.

We run a 14-day exchange window. If a piece does not fit, you have 14 days from delivery (or 14 days from in-shop purchase) to bring it back or ship it back for exchange or store credit. No cash refunds.

  • Online orders: buyer covers return shipping. We can send a prepaid label and deduct the cost from your store credit.
  • In-store purchases: exchange or store credit only, no cash back.
  • Item must come back in the same condition it shipped in. Tags, if present, still attached.
