Vintage 1986 Marvel 25th Anniversary Poster on the Wall
A vintage 1986 Marvel Comics 25th Anniversary commemorative poster just hit the wall. Clean. Unfolded. Original paper stock.
Context
Marvel turned 25 in 1986, counting from the 1961 launch of Fantastic Four #1 under the Stan Lee and Jack Kirby pairing. The company commissioned commemorative posters, trade ads, and retailer display materials to mark the anniversary year. Most of those were pinned up in comic shops and later thrown out.
Clean survivors of the 25th Anniversary poster series are not impossible to find, but they are harder than you would think. Comic shop back-of-house materials tend to get damaged during storage cycles across multiple generations of shop ownership.
Why this one is interesting
This is the original 1986 run. Not a reprint. Not a 50th Anniversary or 60th Anniversary callback poster. The paper stock, the ink registration, and the back-panel printing date all line up with the original release window.
If you are building a comics-themed wall or collecting Marvel promotional art from the Bronze to Copper Age transition, this fits directly. On the wall now. Framed inclusion is optional.
