Ray and Marissa on the Floor: A Saturday at the Shop
Ray and Marissa ran the floor together last Saturday. The whole shop shifts when they are both in at once.
Ray is the one who can authenticate a wrestling tee in three seconds flat. He runs the buy desk most days and is the reason our wrestling figure case is the depth it is. If a customer brings in a piece that is uncertain, he is the one calling the shot on it.
Marissa styles, rings, hosts, and remembers everybody. She can pull a fit for a customer she just met in under five minutes and have it make sense.
Together, they are the shop. The vibe, the pace, the quality control. You can feel it from the door.
Why showing up matters
A lot of vintage shops in 2026 are run remotely. Owners rarely behind the counter. Staff cycling through. That model works for some. It does not work for us. The floor is where the shop happens, and we try to have at least one of the people whose name is on the door in the building every day the lights are on.
If you came in that Saturday, you got full service. If you did not, try again any weekend. One of them will be there.
707 E Fremont, Suite 1170. Open most days.
End of entry · Next Friday: new drop · Every piece one of one
