The Original 1988 Michael Jackson Moonwalker Movie Poster Came In
An original 1988 Michael Jackson Moonwalker movie theater poster walked into the shop this week. One owner. Prime condition. 27 by 40.
If you were alive in 1988, you remember the runup. The Bad tour was ending. The LP was platinum eight times over. Michael had turned concert filming into a surrealist medium and Moonwalker was the proof of concept: part concert doc, part music video anthology, part stop-motion fever dream.
This is the theatrical one-sheet. Not a reprint. Not a repro. Not a knockoff pulled from a Spencer's circa 1995. The paper feels right. The corners are sharp. The colors still hit.
Why the poster holds up
Movie theater one-sheets from 1988 were printed in limited runs and handed back to the distributor the week a film closed. Most got folded. Most got torn. A clean, flat one is rare. A clean, flat, one-owner one for MJ is rarer.
The piece is on the wall in the shop right now. $200. Comes with the sleeve it has lived in.
If you are building an MJ wall, a music-movie wall, or a stack of 80s theatrical posters, come look at it in person. We do not ship one-sheets without packing them the way they deserve, so local is the cleaner play.
