Aces Night in the Rain: How DTLV Showed Up Anyway

Aces Night in the Rain: How DTLV Showed Up Anyway

It was pouring on Fremont. The Aces had a playoff game a couple of miles away. We thought traffic might die in the shop for the night.

Instead, the shop filled up. Jerseys. Caps. Hardwood Classics Aces gear that somehow keeps appearing out of thin air. A couple of fans came in soaked, dried off under the lights, bought the thing they had been eyeing for a month, and walked right back out into the weather.

That was the whole evening. From the rain, to the shop, and back to the rain. And nobody left early.

What Vegas basketball feels like now

The Aces did not just bring championships to this city. They brought a fanbase that shows up the way Raiders, Golden Knights, and early Runnin' Rebels fans show up. Rain. Cold. Traffic. Does not matter. They pull up.

The vintage market is just starting to price in what that means. Authentic Hardwood Classics WNBA pieces, early-run Aces gear, and crossover pieces between the team and local culture are already tightening up at auction. If you are ahead of that, good on you. We are going to keep hunting them.

Courtside and curbside, the shop is open. 707 E Fremont.
