El Pirata De Pittsburg Walked Out with a CIB Super NES and Donkey Kong
El Pirata De Pittsburg walked out of the shop this weekend with a Complete-in-Box Super Nintendo and a Complete-in-Box Donkey Kong Country cart. We love it.
He had been eyeing the SNES for a month. The Donkey Kong we had just pulled from a small lot earlier in the week. When they came together on the same counter, it felt like one of those fits that was meant to be.
Why CIB matters
A loose Super Nintendo is a sixty-dollar console. A CIB Super Nintendo with both controllers, the RF adapter, the power brick, the inserts, and a clean outer box is a different market. Add a CIB Donkey Kong Country and you are in gift-for-the-rest-of-your-life territory.
He plans to play them. Not resell. He told us that up front. That is the best possible answer when someone buys a $300-plus CIB console from a local shop.
What is in the case this week
We usually have at least two or three CIB consoles in rotation. A couple of NES Action Sets. Occasionally a CIB PlayStation 1. Currently hunting for a clean CIB N64. If that is what you are after, tell us, and when one comes in we will hold it.
Congrats, Pirata. Light the TV up.
