Forty Horror VHS Tapes Hit the Shelf Tomorrow

Forty Horror VHS Tapes Hit the Shelf Tomorrow

Do not get scared now. We are adding over forty horror VHS tapes to the shop tomorrow.

What is in the wave

Heavy lean on 80s slasher. Plus a solid run of lesser-seen 80s and 90s gore. Plus a handful of Italian giallo and horror-adjacent thrillers. Plus the standard rotation of Universal Monsters reissue tapes that always move fast around Halloween.

Specific highlights:

  • A clean Halloween II (1981) in the original sleeve.
  • The Gate (1987). Still one of the most underrated kids-in-the-basement horror films.
  • Sleepaway Camp (1983). You know.
  • Three different Fangoria-approved weird ones that came in as a set from a single collector.

Why horror VHS specifically

Horror is the single most collected VHS genre. The original artwork, the big-box rental sleeves, and the era-specific distribution labels (Vestron, Continental, Lightning, Media) are all part of the appeal. Horror also has the most active buyer community, which means liquid pricing and faster movement on the wall.

We stock horror year-round. Halloween week we go deeper. If you are putting together a horror watch-list for October, come flip through the wall. The one you have been looking for is probably there.
