The Polo Jeans Company sub-label ran through the late 1990s and into the 2000s before Ralph Lauren retired the line around 2007, making any surviving piece from that run a closed chapter in the brand's catalog. This one is the workhorse version of that era: no loud graphics, no novelty colorblocking. A stand-up collar, a silver zipper, and an embroidered flag logo stitched to the left chest.
Polo Jeans Company occupied a defined lane inside the Ralph Lauren umbrella. It was the label aimed at younger buyers who wanted the horse and the pony association without paying mainline Polo prices, and it delivered on that quietly for about a decade. The mid-2000s fleece run from this line sat alongside pieces from Tommy Hilfiger and Nautica competing for the same closet space, and the quality gap between them was real.
