SNES College Slam in Box
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
College Slam is Acclaim's 1995 SNES release, developed by Iguana Entertainment, and it is the NCAA-licensed two-on-two arcade basketball game that rode directly in the wake of NBA Jam's breakout success. Complete in box, cartridge and manual together, this copy is the full package, not a loose cart someone found in a bin.
NBA Jam hit arcades in 1993 and the SNES port followed in 1994. Acclaim read the room fast. College Slam arrived in 1995 carrying the same physics, the same fire-ball dunks, the same shot-clock-free frenzy, but with real school identities: team logos, mascots, fight songs. UNLV, Georgetown, Duke, LSU, Kansas. The licensing deal was NCAA-sanctioned, which meant actual program marks on screen in a way the pro game rarely got right during that era. Iguana had already built the engine running NBA Jam TE on Acclaim's side of the fence, so the translation to college rosters felt tight rather than derivative. Two-on-two meant no fouls, no substitutions, no simulation. The game rewarded aggression, and the crowd noise from the school-specific audio cues made each matchup feel different from the last. College Slam comes from a narrower pool than NBA Jam simply because fewer copies were preserved complete, and CIB examples from this era do not surface often.
The last NCAA game before the lawsuits locked the door on arcade basketball forever.
This copy is CIB. The box is present and the manual should be inside, so check both before you commit. Condition on CIB Acclaim titles from 1995 varies hard: some sat in closets untouched, some went through a decade of rental-store handling. Look at the cartridge label for sticker residue, check the box corners for crush damage along the bottom seam, and run the game to the title screen to confirm the save battery isn't showing anomalies. The label on the top edge of the cartridge spine will tell you if this copy got heavy shelf wear or came out clean.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm manual is present and box corners are intact before listing condition as CIB.

The Nintendo Archive
This is part of Nintendo's 90s run, the era that built the shop's back wall. Nintendo shipped cartridges, plush, promotional oddities, and packaging that most buyers threw out on the way to the game. What survived, mostly by accident, ends up here. Every piece is cleaned, photographed, and listed one at a time. Nothing on the archive shelf is a duplicate.
