NINTENDO ARCHIVE

The Nintendo Archive

This is part of Nintendo's 90s run, the era that built the shop's back wall. Nintendo shipped cartridges, plush, promotional oddities, and packaging that most buyers threw out on the way to the game. What survived, mostly by accident, ends up here. Every piece is cleaned, photographed, and listed one at a time. Nothing on the archive shelf is a duplicate.

Best of the Best: Championship Karate (1993) by Electro Brain was based on the 1989 kickboxing film "Best of the Best" starring Eric Roberts and James Earl Jones. The game offered one-on-one martial arts combat with a focus on realistic kickboxing techniques rather than the fantasy moves of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. Electro Brain was a smaller publisher that specialized in licensed and niche titles on Nintendo platforms. Fighting games were the hottest genre on the SNES in the early '90s, and every publisher wanted a piece of the action. Realistic combat in an arcade-dominated era.

SNES game in original box, appears in shrink wrap. Pre-owned. See photos for full condition details.. Championship karate on 16 bits.
