2008 Obama Yes We Did Shirt Large
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Black Fruit of the Loom tee, single-print commemorative, made in the wake of the 2008 presidential election. The front carries stacked YES WE DID lettering in red and blue on white. Obama's silhouette is worked into the letterforms. CHICAGO NOVEMBER 4TH 2008 printed beneath. This is not campaign merch. This is night-of merch, the kind printed and moving within hours of the Grant Park speech.
November 4, 2008 closed out one of the longest, most-watched presidential campaigns the country had seen. Barack Obama won 365 electoral votes, becoming the 44th president and the first Black president in American history. Grant Park in Chicago held somewhere around 240,000 people that night. The networks called it before 11 p.m. Eastern. Within minutes the streets were moving, and within hours the commemorative prints were already circulating. Vendor and bootleg operators alike printed overnight runs on black tees, working the silhouette into type-based designs because it was fast, bold, and readable from twenty feet out. The YES WE CAN slogan that ran through the campaign flipped to YES WE DID the moment results were confirmed. Shirts like this one represent the raw first-print wave, before licensed campaign organizations could organize official post-election product lines. The CHICAGO NOVEMBER 4TH date anchor on this print makes the intent unambiguous.

This copy is a Large, on a black Fruit of the Loom base. The print registers clean across the lettering block, silhouette definition intact, no cracking visible along the major letterforms. Black base tees from this vintage of overnight commemorative runs can show fade or wash softening across the chest print after repeated laundering. Hold it to direct light and check the edges of the letterforms for any cracking or peeling along the red and blue fill. The collar seam is your condition tell on Fruit of the Loom blanks from this period. Run your thumb along the inside rib and check for any separation or pilling at the bind.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm the printing date range (night-of or first-week November 2008 run) against any label, screenprinter mark, or tag detail on the interior.

The Apparel Rack
The 90s rack is where most of the shop's apparel lives. Team tees, tour shirts, promotional jackets, wrestling pullovers, movie tie-in prints that nobody saved on purpose. 00s production runs were large and the survivors are the ones that dodged the rag bin. Each garment is measured flat, photographed on a neutral ground, and listed against the tag size.
