1998 Yankees Vs Mets Subway Series Interleague Games Majestic T-Shirt Size XL
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
Majestic produced this XL cotton tee to commemorate the 1998 regular-season Subway Series interleague matchups between the Yankees and the Mets. It is official Majestic product, single-stitch construction, and the graphics print is intact. This is the kind of piece that documents a specific moment in New York baseball before the October fireworks, made for fans who wanted something to hold from the moment the two boroughs started fighting on the field.
The 1998 Yankees are one of the most discussed rosters in American League history. That club went 114-48 in the regular season, won the World Series over the San Diego Padres in a sweep, and carried Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Mariano Rivera, and David Wells through one of the cleanest runs a baseball team has put together in the modern game. The Mets, meanwhile, were coming off a 1997 bounce-back under Bobby Valentine and finished 88-74 in 1998, close enough to relevant that the interleague games felt like genuine heat. Both fan bases had been sharing the city since 1962 without a Subway Series to point to. These interleague matchups were the pressure valve, played at Shea and at Yankee Stadium, and the merchandise that came out of them caught the moment before anyone knew it would be another two years before these clubs actually met in October 2000.
The summer New York stopped splitting the city and stacked it instead.
This copy is XL and the print reads as a screened graphic over a cotton body. The official MLB and MLBPA marks are on the label alongside the Majestic tag. Single-stitch construction on the sleeves is consistent with late-1990s Majestic production. The piece has not been photographed against a measurement tape here, so run your hand down the shoulder-seam stitching and check for any cracking in the graphic ink at the chest center before you commit.
OWNER VERIFY: Confirm the on-garment Majestic tag reads 1998 or carries a date code consistent with that production year, as opposed to a later Subway Series reprint.

The 90s Rack
The 90s rack is where most of the shop's apparel lives. Team tees, tour shirts, promotional jackets, wrestling pullovers, movie tie-in prints that nobody saved on purpose. 90s production runs were large and the survivors are the ones that dodged the rag bin. Each garment is measured flat, photographed on a neutral ground, and listed against the tag size.
