1998 3 Stooges Crisp Cringle Shirt Large
1 OF 1 · NO RESTOCK
The 1998 "Crisp Cringle" tee is a licensed Three Stooges novelty shirt from the tail end of the decade, when the Stooges catalog was doing real retail volume through holiday novelty channels. The gag is right there in the title: Curly Howard tangled in Christmas lights, the pun landing on "Crisp Cringle" as a nod to both Kris Kringle and the crackle of a live wire. Blue base, large cut, single piece in the shop.
The Three Stooges licensing machine was running hard through the 1990s. C3 Entertainment had taken over the estate rights and was pushing the Stooges onto everything from coffee mugs to bedsheets to seasonal tees, keeping the brand visible across gift shops and mall kiosks during the holiday quarter. By 1998 the Stooges had outlasted multiple waves of revival, from the syndication boom of the 1960s through the VHS repackaging of the 1980s, and into the novelty apparel gold rush of the Clinton years. Christmas-themed Stooges pieces from this period were mostly single-season runs, short print windows, designed to move at a gift shop register in November and December and not necessarily to stick around past inventory clearance. That production math is why these turn up in odd sizes with original tags still attached decades later.

This copy has held up well enough to earn a spot on the floor. The blue colorway reads clean, and the graphic print, Curly mid-electrocution, has the oversized, slightly rubbery ink texture that is consistent with late-1990s heat-applied holiday tees rather than a modern reprint. Large sizing runs true to the baggier fit standard of the period, which gives it room to layer or wear as-is. The print sits chest-height and the collar shows the softening you expect from a tee with some age on it. Before you commit, run a hand along the hem seam and check whether the ribbing still holds its structure or has started to roll.

The 90s Rack
The 90s rack is where most of the shop's apparel lives. Team tees, tour shirts, promotional jackets, wrestling pullovers, movie tie-in prints that nobody saved on purpose. 90s production runs were large and the survivors are the ones that dodged the rag bin. Each garment is measured flat, photographed on a neutral ground, and listed against the tag size.
